Volunteer at Swarthmore
We are currently seeking to recruit volunteers to teach and support our new Talk English project which will start in September 2017. Please see our Vacancies page for more information.
Any other volunteering opportunities will be advertised when they become available on our Vacancies page or on the noticeboard outside Reception.
Volunteers can work with learners on our Skills for Life, Computer, Arts and Healthy Living programmes and:
- work with disabled people
- help in numeracy and literacy classes
- learn new skills, supported by induction and training
- meet people and make friends
- improve your job prospects
- social programme
Would you be interested in developing a social programme for all our users, which could include for example theatre trips, rambles, Christmas Party, chess and scrabble, one-off talks about topical issues and art gallery trips?
If you are interested in working as a volunteer to help organise and promote this programme, please contact Reception.
