Rooms for Hire at Swarthmore
We have a wide range of rooms for hire from small meeting rooms to our refurbished community conference room, a large hall and specialist arts and IT facilities. Some of these rooms are only available during holidays.
We are located in Leeds city centre, near Leeds General Infirmary and Park Lane College. We are now served by the free Citybus, which departs from Leeds Rail Station every few minutes.
Meeting Rooms
Small /Community Conference Room
Seating 30 people in boardroom style, our newly refurbished Ellen Heaton room on the ground floor is ideal as a small conference room
Other Meeting Rooms
Room 110 is our largest room on the first floor
Room 02 is on the ground floor, next to the Coffee Bar
Room 12 on the first floor seats up to 22 people boardroom style
Rooms 14 and 15 on the first floor seat 15 and 20 people respectively
Room 05 is a small, cosy meeting room on the ground floor for no more than 8 -10 people
Specialist Facilities
Hall/Dance Studio
Our newly refurbished Hall seats up to 150 people. We have installed new powerful heaters, put up new curtains, and redecorated the hall as well as the changing rooms
Computer Rooms
We have 3 computer rooms, one with 13 computers and an interactive whiteboard (pictured) , one with 8 computers and one with 6. All are on the ground floor and have internet access.
Art Rooms
The Art Studio, Print Room, Jewellery Workshop and Pottery, can be hired with or without tutor/ technician support, by negotiation with the Arts Manager.
Crèche
We offer registered childcare for children aged from 6 months to 5 years old. The Crèche is also available for hire and hirers may use their own childcare workers or, by arrangement, use the Centre’s Supervisor and Assistant.
The Cafe
The cafe is open during the week and at weekends, for delicious drinks, snacks and meals. Why not combine your meeting with a delicious buffet!
