Hypnotherapy

The word hypnotherapy 'hypnotherapy' derives from the Greek word hypnos, meaning 'sleep'.

The practitioner helps the patient relax into a hypnotic trance, resulting in a heightened state of awareness and bypassing the conscious mind to allow direct communication with the unconscious.

Beneficial suggestions can then be made to help you make positive changes in your life, including overcoming fears and habit problems, relieving stress-related and psychosomatic illnesses and pain management.

Further information about hypnotherapy can be found on the internet.  You may like to try The Hypnotherapy Association as a starting point. Also try the NHS Directory of Complementary & Alternative Practitioners
