The Arts at Swarthmore

The arts & crafts available at Swarthmore are not only varied but, it could be said, in some circumstances hard to find elsewhere within Leeds.

The selection available within the arts covers courses from Stained Glass to Drama, Oils to Quilting, Belly Dancing to Pottery, all of which are reasonably prices and accessible. Beginners as well as those with some experience are more than welcome to join our classes. We love to encourage people to take part in the arts for the first time. Students often comment on how relaxing they find the courses and that they give them a chance to unwind and enjoy something very different to their normal daily routine.

The workshops used for crafts such as Jewellery, Stained Glass and Pottery are very well equipped with specialised tools and appliances. Students will also have the benefit of advice and teaching from experienced tutors who are often artists in their own right. Swarthmore is also able to guide learners to the best priced material and often the ability to purchase materials from Swarthmore itself at affordable prices.
