This is a brief introductory course aimed at giving students a knowledge of the main principles and practice of the Alexander Technique.
Who is the course aimed at?
The course will be helpful for anybody but will have a particular emphasis on using the Technique for enhancing mental and emotional wellbeing.
Course description in brief
The course will address balance, breathing, co-ordination, releasing tension in muscles in everyday activities in a practical session.
Theory will be addressed through practice.
By the end of the course I will have learned:
- Strategies for reducing stress and enhancing wellbeing to be used in everyday life.

No formal skills or qualifications required.
A willingness to participate in a group class and to work within your own range of ability.
What equipment will I need for the course?
Please wear comfortable clothes you can move in easily.

A mixture of theory and practice.

Nothing outside the workshop time.
